John Corcoran, M.D., is an experienced primary care physician who specializes in internal medicine. He firmly believes in open communication with his patients and strives to create a trusting relationship with them.
"Establishing a professional relationship with a primary care provider is of utmost importance," he said. "This allows your doctor to get to know your health situation which makes it easier to detect when something changes or when something is wrong, leading to early treatment and better outcomes."
Dr. Corcoran feels that his own health experiences have given him a better sense of empathy when it comes to communicating and working with his patients.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Corcoran grew up in Buffalo, New York, before moving to Tucson in 1970 where he attended the University of Arizona, earning both his undergraduate degree in biology and his medical degree. After six years of post-graduate medical education, he began practicing internal medicine in Tucson in 1981.
Due to Dr. Corcoran’s extensive medical education, academic training and quality patient care, he received a fellowship award from the American College of Physicians.
