We are excited to share that TMC Health was chosen to receive a $500,000 Special Pathogen Treatment and Network Development (STAND) Award from the National Emerging Special Pathogens Training and Education Center (NETEC). This funding and technical support will help Tucson Medical Center advance toward designation as a Level 2 facility within the National Special Pathogen System.

This designation will enhance TMC’s ability to safely evaluate and care for patients with high-consequence infectious diseases while expanding access to advanced infectious disease care across Southern Arizona.

Funding will support five primary areas:

TMC is proud to formalize and expand its existing preparadness capabilities and be a recognized regional resource for special pathogen response.
